Finding legitimate ways to make a few extra bucks can be tough. And while you may be waiting for your blog to take off, companies like GrabPoints can be tempting. You’ve probably run across other Grab Points reviews in your Internet travels. In this GrabPoints review, you’ll find out if it’s worth your time or not. The answer will surprise you!
What is GrabPoints?
GrabPoints is a rewards site that was started in 2014. The company is headquartered in Cloverdale, BC, Canada and is owned by Vikas Tailor.
How Does GrabPoints Work?
Members earn points by completing surveys, watching videos, playing games and downloading and testing apps much like Swagbucks. Once you earn enough points you can redeem your points in the form of gift cards or through Paypal.
What We Like About GrabPoints
There’s a live feed on the right side of the screen that indicates offers available for specific countries. These are noted by country flags. Other features include:
- Grab points promo code
- Sign up is free
- Watch Videos
- Available in many countries
- Your friends will receive 500 free points when they use the invite code you send them
- There’s a live feed where you can see what other members are earning in real time on the “Trending” screen.
Check out the video below to see how you can earn points with GrabPoints.
How Do You Get Paid With GrabPoints?
Generally, you don’t earn cash with this program. The rewards are in the form of gift cards from Amazon, BestBuy, Wal-Mart, Target, and StarBucks. But with 3,000 points, you can convert them into $3 cash via Paypal. Members can also earn a bonus by referring friends with a promo code. The amount of the bonus will vary depending on your referral’s home country. Once you submit your rewards request, payments are processed within 72 hours.
How To Get Started With GrabPoints
GrabPoints is free to join but it does have a few notable requirements such as:
- You must be at least 13 years or older in order to enroll in the program
- Only available for personal accounts–not businesses
- Only one account per household
- You have to supply a photo ID and a utility bill to prove your residence
How To Get Help at GrabPoints
If you have any problems with your account, you’ll need to submit a ticket through their helpdesk. GrabPoints will get back to you within 48 business hours. There was no other information available. No email address; no phone number.
Now that we’ve talked about the features of the program, let’s dive into what may not be so great for you. Listed below are some things you should be aware of:
Low Points Value
Converting GrabPoints into cash can take quite a while due to the small amount of money they are worth in the first place. For instance, in order to redeem $3.00 via Paypal, you need 3,000 points. To redeem $5.00 from via Skrill, you’ll need 5,600 points.
High Point Requirement For The Reward Store
So there are a number of rewards available which is great. But the number of points you need for those rewards are pretty high. Take the Amazon Gift Certificate, for example. In order to get a £10 Amazon Gift Certificate, you will need to have 13,600 points.
Since the offers are country specific, you may not have a lot to choose from depending on where you live. There are plenty of offers for people in the U.S. but only a few for other countries.
Low BBB Rating
According to a response I received from Grabpoints, they are not listed on the Better Business Bureau website. So if you are looking for legitimate companies to work with through the BBB, you won’t find any information on Grabpoints there.
No Company Information
The only company information found was in BC, Canada. No phone number, email address, or other information. The only way to contact them is by submitting a ticket through the website.
Is GrabPoints Worth Joining?
If you are only interested in rewards for your time, you may enjoy this type of site. But you’ll have to earn a lot of points to even get $10 through Paypal or Amazon. It’s a lot of time for little gain. For more information on Grab Points, check out the FAQ page here.
