How To Set Up a WordPress Site
In this article, I’ll show you how to set up a WordPress site in less than 2 minutes. Many people think that setting up a website is messy. It doesn’t have to be. WordPress has to be the absolute easiest way to create a website. Wordpress is now the go-to open source tool that even professional web designers use. Initially, it was an easy tool used by inexperienced bloggers who wanted to get their blogs up and running without knowing a programming language.
Choose a Domain Name and Hosting
So before we get started on how to set up a WordPress site, you should already have a domain name purchased and have your hosting organized. If you would like to know more about how to buy a domain names and hosting, click here.
When choosing a domain name, don’t forget to include a keyword in it, if possible. Having a keyword in your domain name will really help with ranking your site and it’s content.
If you have your domain name and hosting with different companies, it could take an hour or so to set it up. Why? Well, if you the domain name and hosting are with two different companies, you will have to point the domain name to the hosting to connect them. Then create the site.

As you can see from the video, I was able to create a WordPress site in under 2 minutes. And that’s including instruction! It will take a bit longer if you are hosted with a different company.
Once you have your site installed, you can then start thinking about building it out with a menu, pages, posts, and good quality content. That’s the next phase of your business.
