Is Slice The Pie a Scam?

Another online money making site that I have recently come across is Slice the Pie. Strange name, alright. What the heck is it? Can you actually make money on this site? Is Slice the Pie a scam? This review will take you inside Slice the Pie so you can decide for yourself.

What is Slice the Pie?

Slicethepie was started back  in 2007. It’s a review site where you get paid to write reviews on music created by new
bands and artists. Reviews are then passed back to the bands. The feedback you provide at Slicethepie helps is slice the pie a scamto improve the quality of their music.

Recently, Slicethepie has entered the fashion arena providing members a chance to review the latest fashions before they hit the stores.

Who is the site for?

Slicethepie is for anyone who has keyboard skills and can use a headset or has a speaker to listen to music. It is not limited to the U.S.A. however, the reviews need to be in English. If you are heavy into music you will love this site.

First, create an account by registering. You will then be sent a confirmation email. Once your email is confirmed, you have to answer several questions relating to your profile and then you can begin to review music. You can also agree to review the latest fashions before they become available in stores.

You click on a link and you will then hear 90 seconds of a music track. These tracks are from a variety of different genres. After you finish listening to a sample track, you type a quick review and submit it. You are paid for each review that is accepted.

How do I review music?

Log into your account and go to the “Review” page and begin listening to a segment of music tracks. Once you’ve heard about 90 seconds of a track, you can write a review and rate the track between 0-10 using the slider.  You do not get a choice of what music to review and some music has been submitted anonymously.

When you are typing a review of a music track, you want to give constructive information such as good vocals, etc. One thing mentioned in the Terms and Conditions is that you cannot copy/paste into the review box. You also shouldn’t use the same language for each review. If you say “good vocals” on every review consistently, you will not be paid for that review. Each review must be unique.

I thought it would be a good idea to take notes while I listened to the 30-second clip. After I finished listening to the clip, I wrote out some more detailed notes and tried to copy/paste them into the window. Didn’t work. Don’t try it. You’ll be wasting your time. You’ll have to retype your notes into the window.

Be sure to adhere to the Terms and Conditions to avoid getting your account locked or suspended.

Star Ratings

After you have provided over 100 good quality reviews, you will notice that your star rating will change. This is a good thing. When your star rating goes up, it’s a telling sign that you are creating good quality reviews and you will be paid more for your reviews.

How do I get paid?

Your pay is based on the quality of your review. The more detailed and lengthy your review is the more you potentially get paid. The minimum review should be no less than 50 words. You get paid via PayPal and your account needs to be registered with your Paypal email account. The minimum payout is $10 and can take up to 5 working days to process.

You can also get paid more money by signing up to review priority tracks that pay an additional bonus payment. Here’s a screenshot below. I made 0.21 in about 20 minutes. At the time I took this screenshot, I had completed four reviews. So that works out to be about a penny a minute for me. You can get paid more for longer and good quality reviews.

Get Paid to Refer People

Each time you refer someone to Slice the Pie and that person signed up, you will receive 10% of their earnings. You will receive bonus commissions for one year from the point that your referral creates and submits their first review.

Is Slice the Pie Legit?

Slicethepie is legitimate. I took Slicethepie for a test run recently. I performed a number of reviews and each review yielded around 5 cents in U.S. dollars (which is the only currency they will pay in). It’s similar to Bubblews where you get paid to write. Is Slice the Pie a scam? No. However, with getting paid 5 cents a review, you won’t make a fortune here. You can certainly use this site as one of many sites that are legitimate ways to make money online. You can make better money online using other methods.
